Your Pipe Organ Project
Moving, Storage, and Relocation
A pipe organ can be moved from its original installation site and be relocated to a new space with great success. For some of our clients the move is internal; their pipe organs are an integral part of remodeling or new building plans. Sometimes instruments are fully or partially dismantled for protection during significant construction projects – an excellent time for them to be simultaneously renovated for a complete building makeover.
The Reuter Organ Company has years of experience with all phases of relocating and storing instruments. Whether simply sealing chests, removing pipes and boxing them for on-site storage during painting and redecorating, or completely repositioning an instrument with a new design layout, our representatives will ensure that each phase of a project will be planned and completed with care.
For some of our clients, an existing instrument is acquired and moved to a different location. Our Design and Engineering Teams can integrate vintage instruments into new spaces – often in another city and state. We can assist in brokering the purchase and removal of a pipe organ from virtually any site in the country. Giving new life to existing instruments is good stewardship and can represent considerable savings over the purchase of a new instrument for those with tight budgets.
